Enigmatic Fetters

These images delve into the emotional terrain of self-deception + disconnection, offering a visceral exploration of the disorienting fracture between who we are and how we become bound—trapped by the enigmatic bindings of external influence, and resulting in self-betrayal.

A state of confusion, gradually shifting away from the Self, towards disillusionment, anger, unravelling and eventually restructuring. The imagery embodies the slow pull of an external influence—immobilizing, entangling, and silencing the now lost Self with something more complex, elusive, yet, strangely compelling. It captures the tension between clarity and confusion, where boundaries are no longer defined and the line between the two becomes irrevocably blurred.

In its intricate layers, these images reflect the overwhelming sensation of being trapped in a net—invisible, yet omnipresent—a force that induces both vulnerability and emotional paralysis.
